The Role: Supporting Marqeta's Evolving Privacy Program As Marqeta's Privacy Program Manager, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of our evolving privacy program, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the development and operationalization of our global privacy initiatives. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on privacy experience and support a wide variety of programmatic and day-to-day privacy activities. Key Responsibilities: Day-to-day administrative management of the global privacy program, including engagement with cross-functional stakeholders and other members of the Legal & Compliance team Support the continued development and operationalization of the global privacy program, including the development and implementation of new policies, standards, and guidance Monitor and keep up-to-date on applicable global privacy legislation, overseeing the implementation of new requirements Support privacy operations, including individual rights requests, inventories, and privacy impact assessments Contribute to the growing development of Marqeta's AI-governance program and initiatives involving AI Develop and participate in privacy training and awareness initiatives Who You Are: Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree 3-5 years of privacy program management experience, with a focus on global privacy initiatives Experience with US state privacy laws (e.g., CCPA), EU and UK legislation (e.g., GDPR and UK GDPR), Canadian legislation, and US sectoral-specific legislation (e.g., GLBA) Strong analytical, organizational, and program management skills, with a sharp attention to detail Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders as part of privacy initiatives Familiarity with enterprise workflow management tools (e.g., Jira) and GRC tools (e.g., LogicGate and OneTrust) A track record of independently driving complex projects to completion Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to specific audiences A personable, commercially-minded team player comfortable with ambiguity and working on challenging privacy issues in the financial services space Nice-to-Haves: Privacy certification (e.g., CIPP certification) Experience working in the financial services or payments industry Experience with information security, AI, and data governance Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Marqeta, we're committed to the growth and development of our employees.
