WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Define the architectural vision for a resilient, intelligent, and hyper-scalable AI platform. You'll make foundational technology decisions that future-proof innovation and secure long-term competitive advantage. As a Platform Architect, you'll lead the design of cloud-native, event-driven systems and secure APIs that power agentic AI operations, while ensuring the platform is adaptable, compliant, and high-performing.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We're looking for a strategic technical leader with deep expertise in distributed systems and AI infrastructure. You should be a strong communicator who can translate complex architectural concepts into actionable guidance for engineers and stakeholders. A collaborative mindset, a passion for mentoring, and the ability to align architectural strategy with business goals are essential. You're comfortable presenting to executive leadership and influencing cross-functional teams to drive architectural excellence.

THE SCHEDULE:
This position is 100% remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Architect the foundational infrastructure for a next-generation AI platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, and intelligence
• Make critical technology decisions across cloud, data, and AI infrastructure to support long-term innovation
• Design microservices ecosystems, event-driven systems, and secure APIs for seamless agentic AI operations
• Lead architectural reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure alignment with business and technical goals
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure platform adaptability, compliance, and performance
• Drive adoption of infrastructure-as-code, observability, and zero-trust security principles across the platform
• Present architectural strategies to executive leadership and align them with business objectives
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of architectural excellence

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Strong technical leadership with the ability to influence architectural direction across cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex architecture into actionable plans
• Collaborative mindset and experience mentoring engineers
• Expert in cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, event-driven patterns, and API design (REST, gRPC, GraphQL)
• Advanced knowledge of data governance and modeling for AI (e.g., feature stores, knowledge graphs, data lakes/lakehouses)
• Deep experience in AI/ML infrastructure design (compute, storage, networking)
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi) and designing for observability
• Strong understanding of LLM deployment patterns, vector stores, and feature stores
• Experience implementing zero-trust networks, RBAC, encryption, and key management
• Proven ability to design for 99.99% uptime in distributed systems
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 7-10+ years designing complex, distributed systems for high availability and scalability
• Preferred: Certifications in Cloud Architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Additional certifications in Security Architecture, DevSecOps, or Data Engineering are a plus

Nice to Have:
• Experience with federated learning, confidential computing, and privacy-enhancing technologies
• Expertise in multi-region deployments and disaster recovery for AI platforms
• Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
• Experience building real-time data pipelines for AI
• Knowledge of quantum-resistant cryptography and graph-based data modeling
