Prek learning Assistant-Early Education Support| Near Chattanooga, TN
Blazer Jobs is hiring a dedicated classroom support professional for a full-time PreK paraprofessional position in Chickamauga, Georgia, located just 20 minutes from Chattanooga, TN. This role is ideal for those passionate about early childhood education and supporting students with special learning needs.
Position Overview:
• Location: Chickamauga, GA (commutable to/from Chattanooga, TN)
• Full-Time: 37.5 hours/week
• Classroom Type: PreK general education setting with approx. 17 students
• Team: Collaborate with a lead teacher and a second paraprofessional
• Focus: Support students with IEPs and developmental needs
What You’ll Do:
• Assist with academic instruction and behavior management for PreK students
• Provide individualized support to students with special needs
• Help implement IEP goals in a general education environment
• Create an inclusive, patient, and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Assist with classroom routines, hygiene, and learning materials
What You’ll Need:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pending or active Georgia Paraprofessional Certification (GaPSC)
• Must complete district fingerprinting and background checks
• Experience with PreK or students receiving special education services preferred
• A caring, flexible attitude and strong classroom presence
