PR Consultant (Dallas-Based) – Trade Expo, International Innovation Campaign

We are seeking a Dallas-based Public Relations Consultant to support earned media strategy and execution for an international trade initiative focused on innovation, technology, and cultural diplomacy.

This role will support media engagement efforts tied to a major international exhibition and related programming in Dallas, Texas.

The ideal candidate has strong relationships with regional and national business, technology, and multicultural media and is experienced in supporting trade organizations, international brands, or economic development initiatives.

This is a project-based role (approx. May – October 2026) with potential for future collaboration.

Scope of Work

The PR Consultant will support strategy execution across the following areas:

Media Strategy Execution

• Support refinement and localization of national PR strategy for the Texas market

• Assist with the development of regional media angles and storylines

• Identify and prioritize Tier 2 & Tier 3 media targets

• Advise on regional media landscape trends and opportunities

Media Outreach & Relationship Management

• Conduct proactive outreach to Texas-based business, tech, lifestyle, and multicultural media

• Support long-lead pitching to national outlets as needed

• Coordinate editorial briefings and media relationship cultivation

• Track and report media responses and coverage progress

Pavilion & Event PR Support

• Assist in securing media attendance at exhibition events

• Coordinate regional media invitations and confirmations

• Support scheduling of interviews, media tours, and press interactions

• Provide on-site PR support during the event period (September)

Press Materials & Messaging Support

• Provide input on press release localization and media relevance

• Assist in developing regional story framing for exhibitors and programming

• Support drafting or editing of media pitches as needed

Influencer & Digital Media Support

• Identify credible Texas-based business, tech, and cultural influencers

• Support outreach coordination where applicable

• Advise on local digital media opportunities

Monitoring & Reporting

• Track regional earned media coverage

• Provide weekly outreach status reports

• Contribute to post-event reporting insights

Preferred Qualifications

• Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area

• Strong relationships with Texas media (business, tech, culture, innovation)

• Experience supporting trade shows, expos, or major events

• Experience with international brands or economic development initiatives

• Ability to work within structured communications strategy

• Comfortable collaborating with global teams

• Available for onsite support during September event period

Engagement Details

• Estimated engagement: May – October 2026

• Monthly scope with milestone deliverables

• On-site presence required during event period

• Compensation: Project-based (to be negotiated)
