Power Query Developer (Excel Specialist) - EST Working Hours (Remote)

Do you have a passion for developing custom solutions in Excel that drive business insights?
We are looking for a skilled Power Query Developer to join our team and contribute to excellence in data-driven decision-making, with a primary focus on Power Query in Excel.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Working Hours: This role requires you to work EST hours Mon - Fri from 9am to 6pm EST (15h00 to 24h00 South African time - subject to change dependant on daylight savings)
• Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
• Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
• Work Environment: This is a remote role for South African Citizens only.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize advanced Power Query solutions using custom M Language, primarily within Excel.
• Design and implement KPI dashboards with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions in Excel.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards
Requirements
• Extensive experience with Power Query and custom M Language development, with a strong focus on Excel.
• Strong background in KPI dashboard design, development, and automation, especially within Excel.
• Proficiency in DAX and experience with Power BI is an added benefit
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, with extensive use of Power Query.
• Strong Design Experience will be advantageous.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent written English skills – Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented – Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and quality.
• Strong time management skills – Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset – Works well within a team while also being able to take ownership of projects.
