Power BI and Financial Data Analyst - Senior Consultant

Here is the Role: The Power BI Developer will support the development and maintenance of data visualization solutions that drive informed financial decision-making. The ideal candidate is skilled in Power BI and financial data analysis, comfortable working with large datasets, and able to translate business requirements into clean, interactive dashboards and reports. Education Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field Your Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models for leadership • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from financial systems such as GFEBS or DEAMS into usable Power BI structures • Develop reports to support Requests for Information (RFIs) and ongoing data calls • Partner with financial analysts and database managers to identify reporting needs and improve data accuracy • Create visualizations that highlight financial trends, metrics, and performance indicators • Automate recurring reports and enhance reporting efficiency through BI tools • Maintain documentation of data sources, workflows, and dashboard logic • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure data consistency and reliability • Support ad hoc analysis requests from leadership and stakeholders • Other duties as assigned Skillset Requirements: • 2–5 years of experience with Power BI development and financial reporting • Strong proficiency with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling principles • Experience with SQL, Excel, and large-scale data handling • Knowledge of GFEBS, DEAMS, or other government financial systems preferred • Understanding of accounting or financial management processes • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences What do you get: • Medical/Dental/Vision • 401K (up to 5% match) • 11 Paid Holidays • 4-5 weeks PTO (depending on level) • Bonus Incentives • Professional Development • Telework • Continuing Education Credit Culture Statement: At JS Perkins Consulting, we believe our people are the foundation of our success.
