We’re growing our culture and entertainment desk and looking for writers who understand the intersection of celebrity, society, and the internet. Role Overview We’re seeking writers who can deliver People-style culture coverage: celebrity updates, relationship timelines, trend explainers, streaming/TV news, social-media–driven moments, and human-interest stories — plus major cultural news involving high-profile figures when it becomes part of the public conversation.Responsibilities • Write daily stories about celebrities, entertainment, TV/streaming, pop culture, and trends • Cover major culture-driving news involving public figures (e.g., legal updates, controversies, or widely-discussed events) with sensitivity and clarity • Monitor trending topics and social conversations to bolthires emerging story opportunities • Fact-check and source responsibly, especially for sensitive stories • Use SEO best practices while keeping writing natural and engaging Requirements • Experience writing culture, celebrity, or entertainment content for reputable publications • Strong sense of what’s trending, what readers care about, and what’s driving conversation • Ability to write polished, compelling copy quickly • Familiarity with AP style and digital publishing tools • Great headline instincts Nice to Have • Experience tracking social media trends and viral moments • Comfort writing both quick turnaround stories and longer features • Ability to pitch creative angles on fast-moving news • Some familiarity with legal/cultural news involving public figures (from a culture lens, not investigative reporting) Submit through JazzHR: • Résumé • 3 writing samples (preferably culture, celebrity, or People-style pieces) • Cover letter: a short note about why you love covering pop culture and internet-driven newsThe hiring team at Pocket-lint will get back to you as soon as possible if we think you'd make a solid addition!Apply tot his job
