Job Summary:
As an Independent Travel Agent with our host agency, you will be responsible for planning and booking all aspects of travel for your clients. This includes, but is not limited to:
Consulting with clients: Understanding their travel needs, preferences, and budget to create personalized itineraries
Researching and recommending travel options: Flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, activities, cruises, and travel insurance
Booking reservations: Utilizing our booking platform and supplier relationships to secure travel arrangements
Providing exceptional customer service: Addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience
Building and maintaining client relationships: Networking and marketing your services to attract new clients and retain existing ones
Staying up-to-date on travel trends and destinations: Participating in training opportunities and industry events
Managing your own business: Tracking expenses, managing client payments, and achieving sales goals
Responsibilities:
Develop and present travel quotes and itineraries
Process payments and issue travel documents
Handle client communication before, during, and after travel
Stay current with travel advisories, visa requirements, and health regulations
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Adhere to all industry regulations and ethical practices
Qualifications:
Passion for travel and helping others create memorable experiences
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage your own time
Basic computer skills and familiarity with online travel resources
Sales and marketing skills are a plus
Prior travel industry experience is preferred, but not required. Comprehensive training is provided
