The Position

Job Summary

The Physician Recruiter is responsible for full cycle physician recruitment, including development of recruitment strategies in partnership with the executive team and physician leadership, sourcing, position posting, candidate management, qualifying and screening, scheduling interviews and site visits, participating in hiring events and conferences, university relationship networking and all reporting related to recruitment efforts. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and plays a critical role in succession planning and onboarding.

This individual must be positive, proactive and responsive, adaptable, and goal-driven. The ideal recruiter enjoys collaboration, is unafraid to manage resistance, maintains a process improvement mindset, and enjoys building new recruiting methods, processes, and tools. Major Responsibilities / Duties / Critical Tasks
• Manages full cycle physician recruiting (Optometrists and Ophthalmologists).
• Identify and source targeted physicians using a variety of creative and effective recruitment methods including university relationships, digital and print advertising, mining websites, database sources, social media tools, direct mail, networking, and staff referrals - ensuring a continual pipeline of high-quality candidates.
• Develops and maintains working knowledge of the PEC and regional communities in order to assist with candidate inquiries.
• Build recruiting initiatives and partnerships with residency programs and fellowship programs.
• Profile positions and develop practice opportunity descriptions.
• Maintains and distributes a weekly status list of all candidates on active searches.
• Manages interview process to include scheduling and coordinating meetings with interview panels.
• Partners with Marketing to assemble and distribute all collateral materials for physician recruitment.
• Assists with the facilitation of the site visit for the physician candidate and spouse/significant other. This may include but is not limited to making arrangements for travel, lodging, meals, and welcome gift, developing itineraries for physician and spouse/significant other and providing transportation, as needed.
• Develops and maintains an effective working knowledge of local physician employment agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation and benefits to answer candidate questions as needed.
• Establishes high reach work objectives, personally tracks and reports on performance.
• Reports on relevant KPIs and identifies process bottlenecks to maximize hiring efficiencies.
• Manages physician recruiting budget and identifies most effective tools to allocate funds appropriately.
• Continually develops and improves upon processes, procedures, policies and techniques to recruit physicians. Maintains up to date knowledge and compliance with federal and state fair employment laws and guidelines.
• Manages reference checking process and may assist with the documentation needed for the completion of the credentialing process.
• Assist with the physician relocation, as needed.
• Works collaboratively with site leadership and executive team to ensure a detailed onboarding schedule is prepared and executed on.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Education / Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in recruiting is required.
• Previous experience in physician recruiting required.
• Eyecare experience preferred.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and web-based recruitment.

• Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients, including administrators, physicians, peers, and support staff.
• Exhibit a high energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as a team, with flexibility in work habits to schedule and meet the needs of the medical staff.
• Proven track record of excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task, planning and prioritizing a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.
• Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research in an efficient, productive manner.

Additional Job Details

Remote in CO with ability to visit our partner clinics across CO and WY as needed.

Travel less than 15% to attend hiring events or conferences.

This is a full-time position.

Compensation for this role will be $75,000- $97,000 based on experience/certification.
