We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various clinical settings, including urgent care and medical-surgical environments. This position requires a strong commitment to patient health, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
β’ Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
β’ Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
β’ Perform procedures such as Botulinum toxin treatment and other clinical interventions as required.
β’ Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
β’ Utilize electronic health record systems, specifically Epic, for documentation and patient management.
β’ Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance treatment protocols and improve patient outcomes.
β’ Monitor patients in various settings, including ICU, ensuring compliance with infection control measures.
β’ Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
Qualifications
β’ Masterβs degree in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent from an accredited program.
β’ Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
β’ Proficiency in medical coding is preferred but not mandatory.
β’ Experience in urgent care or ICU settings is highly desirable.
β’ Strong knowledge of infection control practices within clinical environments.
β’ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
β’ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
