Pharmacy Tech Trainee Part or Full Time
Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician Trainee first and foremost is responsible for guest satisfaction. He/She is responsible to the company for the efficient, safe, effective operation of the Pharmacy under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
ā¢ Responsible to our guests and for building a reputation for ultimate guest service
ā¢ Responsible for handling of prescriptions, counting, labeling and reconstituting prescriptions, inventory management and medication therapy management as allowed by state law
ā¢ Maintain confidentiality when handling patient records
ā¢ Maintain guest charge and delivery records
ā¢ Mail out prescriptions
ā¢ Responsible for phone calls to and from provider's offices and guests within scope of practice/license
ā¢ Other duties as assigned by management
Key Requirements:
ā¢ High school diploma diploma (e.g., GED), or be working to achieve a high school diploma or equivalent for no more than two years
ā¢ Active and in good standing pharmacy technician trainee license issued by the Board of Pharmacy of the state(s) in which you are practicing.
ā¢ Must be detail-oriented
ā¢ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and some holidays as required
ā¢ Retail pharmacy experience is a plus
ā¢ Pharmacy team will train, but individual must have the ability to complete on the job training and exam which includes, but not limited to:
ā¢ Guest service duties, efficient utilization of pharmacy technology (computer, email, etc.)
ā¢ Prescription input and preparation
ā¢ Pharmacy inventory control
ā¢ Pharmacy related math
ā¢ Excellent oral and written communication skills
ā¢ Ability to perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, standing and walking for 8-12 hour period
ā¢ Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
ā¢ Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
