**A Brief Overview**

Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Supervisor will lead our specialty pharmacy team in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. This role involves overseeing operational functions of specialty pharmacy services which include but are not limited to prescription processing, benefits investigation, delivery, optimal medication management, coordination of pharmacy clinic functions, and collaborating closely with clinic staff to enhance patient outcomes. This individual will lead cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong project and staff management skills.

**What you will do**



+ Leadership: Supervises and mentor specialty pharmacy team including but not limited to pharmacy liaisons and call center staff fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

+ Daily Workflow Oversight and Optimization: Manage, coordinate, and direct operational and patient care activities within the area of responsibility. Identifying and implementing strategies to improve workflows, enhance efficiency, and maximize the value of technology and automation.

+ Call Center operations: Oversees call center operations, ensuring staff are well trained and knowledgeable about specialty pharmacy services. Responsible for monitoring call center and individual KPIs to drive performance and patient satisfaction

+ Quality Improvement: Identifying and implementing methods to measure program outcomes, support service sustainability, and drive quality improvement. Perform regular audits to ensure adherence to client service level agreements, accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.

+ Education and Training: Provides ongoing education and training for pharmacy staff, and patients regarding medication therapies and safety practices.

+ Policy and Procedure Development: Developing, reviewing, and maintaining policies and procedures for specialty pharmacy services.

+ Financial: Participate in financial operating forecast preparation. Identify and implement cost savings initiatives in areas of responsibility. Ensure proper billing procedures. Review/Evaluate/Escalate Third party drug reimbursement discrepancies

+ Performance Evaluation: Conducts regular performance evaluations and provides constructive feedback to pharmacy staff, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.



**Education Qualifications**



+ PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy school required.



**Experience Qualifications**



+ 3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting required.

+ Experience in supervision or management is preferred.



**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**



+ Ability to train, supervise, coach, and evaluate remote and hybrid staff members

+ Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and written, with patients, staff, leaders, and other stakeholders

+ Ability to critically analyze and problem-solve issues

+ Ability to develop and lead process improvement projects

+ Ability to strategize, plan, and implement changes as needed

+ Ability to work effectively as both a team player and a leader

+ Supervise daily work and functions performed by staff and reschedule work assignments as needed

+ Ability to work with devices, information systems, and technical equipment utilized in pharmacy area

+ Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility

+ Knowledge of prescription and non-prescription drugs and their indications, dosage, mechanism of action, efficacy, side effects, and contraindications

+ Knowledge of medical terminology (and abbreviations), pharmacology, therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and disease states

+ Knowledge of methods and procedures involved in proper handling and storing of pharmaceuticals



**Licenses and Certifications**



+ RPH - Registered Pharmacist required

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $81.53 - $108.02 per hour
