Personal Care Assistant (PCA) - Sweet Homemaker

We're looking for certified home health aides in various locations in New London County, CT and Middlesex County, CT to be at the heart of our client's care. As a Personal Care Assistant with Sweet Homemaker you will provide exceptional care that our clients rely on to stay safe at home. Become a part of the reason we are a national leader in home care!

Duties...
Ā• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or patients requiring home care is preferred.
Ā• Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Ā• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
Ā• Administer medications as directed by health care professionals.
Ā• Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
Ā• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Ā• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

Qualifications:
Ā• You NEED to be a Certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Ā• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
Ā• Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
Ā• Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
Ā• Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills
Ā• Must be at least 18 years old
Ā• Able to read and write at a 5th grade level
Ā• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, valid car insurance (insurance card)
