Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain network systems, including Cisco hardware Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including LAN infrastructure, testing, and designing software Collaborate with service providers to restore service and minimize business disruption Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network systems, including incident reports and resolution steps Provide technical support and guidance to customers, teams, and other support personnel Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network issues outside of regular business hours Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve network systems and processes Work with vendors to procure necessary equipment for network systems Identify, analyze, and resolve network switching and transmission system issues Develop and maintain a proactive daily task list to ensure network systems are running smoothly Essential Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in a support-related field or network administration Fundamental understanding of Ethernet, Fiber, Frame Relay, AVPN, ISDN, Dedicated IP, and Routing protocols Basic knowledge of network equipment and software, including switches, routers, and wireless controllers Fundamental understanding of subnetting, VLANs, and network geography Excellent written and verbal communication skills, phone etiquette, and customer service skills Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues Experience or understanding of ITIL/Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Request processes Demonstrated strong work ethic and positive, mature, professional demeanor Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Process-oriented, with an understanding of the benefits of processes and the need for compliance Ability to explain technical terms to non-technical audiences Proactive and innovative, with a strong desire to continuously improve Collaborative and team-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment Great understanding of business warehouse and distribution center operations Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools to aid in issue detection and resolution CCNA certification or studying for CCNA Networking degree ITIL Foundation Certification Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Google Apps Script, etc.) What We Offer blithequark offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: Competitive salary range: $36.06 - $45.67 per hour Paid time off Medical, dental, vision, and hearing benefits Healthcare reimbursement account Dependent care assistance plan Short-term and long-term disability insurance AD&D insurance Life insurance 401(k) plan Stock purchase plan for qualified employees Career Growth and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
