Performance Tester required
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Performance Test Engineer with 7+ years of hands-on expertise in performance engineering of enterprise applications. The role requires strong knowledge of JMeter, k6, large-scale distributed load testing, AI-driven performance insights, APM tools (New Relic / Dynatrace), and secure authentication flows using Auth0. The candidate will ensure application scalability, reliability, and performance readiness across releases. Key Responsibilities Performance Testing & Engineering Define and execute end-to-end performance testing strategy for web applications, APIs, REST Perform Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance (Soak), Scalability, and Volume testing. Create realistic workload models based on production traffic and user behavior. Identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers. Drive capacity planning, benchmarking, and release go/no-go decisions. Performance Testing Tools Strong hands-on experience with: Apache JMeter (advanced scripting, correlation, parameterization, distributed testing) k6 (JavaScript-based scripting, thresholds, cloud execution) Gatling LoadRunner / LoadRunner Cloud BlazeMeter NeoLoad Locust Performance testing for: REST APIs WebSockets, gRPC Authentication & Security Performance (Auth0) Experience performance testing secure authentication and authorization flows using Auth0: OAuth 2.0 JWT access & refresh tokens Validate: Login, token generation, refresh, and logout performance Concurrent authentication and session handling Rate limiting, throttling, and security constraints under load Ensure secure handling of tokens and secrets in performance scripts. Cloud-Scale & Distributed Testing Execute large-scale distributed performance tests in: AWS Experience with: Docker, ECS Auto-scaling groups, load balancers (ALB, NLB) Validate system behavior during traffic spikes, failover, and auto-scaling events. APM, Monitoring & Observability Deep hands-on experience with APM and observability tools: New Relic Dynatrace AppDynamics Datadog Analyze: End-to-end transaction traces JVM / heap and memory utilization Database query performance External service latency Correlate performance test results with real-time APM metrics for root cause analysis. AI-Driven Performance Engineering Leverage AI-powered insights from APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace Davis AI, New Relic AI). Use AI tools for: Intelligent anomaly detection Performance regression analysis Predictive capacity planning Utilize Generative AI to: Generate performance test scripts and scenarios Create synthetic test data Summarize test results and trends Produce executive-level performance insights CI/CD & DevOps Integration Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions Enable shift-left and shift-right performance testing. Use Infrastructure as Code: Terraform CloudFormation Enterprise Reporting & Stakeholder Communication Prepare enterprise-level performance reports covering: SLA / SLO compliance Response time, throughput, error rates Scalability and capacity findings Present insights to: Engineering leadership Architects Product and business stakeholders Provide clear performance tuning and optimization recommendations. Reliability & Resilience Testing Validate system behavior under failure conditions and peak loads. Support resilience and chaos testing initiatives (Chaos Monkey, Gremlin). Collaborate with SRE and DevOps teams to improve system reliability. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. 7+ years of hands-on performance testing and engineering experience. Strong understanding of: Distributed systems Secure authentication mechanisms (Auth0) Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred / Nice to Have Performance testing certifications (ISTQB Performance, LoadRunner, NeoLoad). Experience with high-traffic SaaS / Enterprise platforms. Exposure to serverless architectures (AWS Lambda). Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
