Payroll Overpayment Project Administrator FTC
OverviewWincanton are looking for several highly organised and detail orientated Payroll Overpayment Project Administrators, to support a key project focused on resolving historical overpayments.This is a six-month fixed term contract.Reporting to the Head of Payroll, this role requires strong admin skills, a proactive and structured approach to work and the ability to collaborate across payroll, HR, and finance teams. You’ll play an essential part in ensuring accurate data handling, effective communication and smooth project execution.Salary £28,000 - £35,000 p.a depending on experience.Knowledge of average holiday pay legislation is essential for this role.We offer flexible start and finish times.This is a remote, home-based role, with occasional travel to our Chippenham office.How will you contribute?Coordinate and track project tasks related to the investigation and resolution of overpaymentsMaintain accurate up-to-date project documentation and recordsLiaise with payroll, finance, and HR teams together verify and manage dataPrepare reports, summaries, and internal communications for stakeholdersIdentify and flag discrepancies for issues for resolutionEnsure compliance with privacy, data protection, and financial regulationsSupport process improvements and project optimization initiativesWhat will you bring?Knowledge of average holiday pay legislation and technical calculation principlesExperience of payroll systems (especially Oracle)Understanding of overpayment recovery procedures and best practiseFamiliarity with large organisational environments and matrix teamsExceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracyStrong organisational and time management skills able to manage multiple prioritiesClear, concise communication skills, both written and verbalProactive and deadline driven with a project orientated mindsetHigh level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential informationOur Culture & Benefits In addition to generous remuneration, we really value our people and offer a friendly, safety-first working environment, along with other benefits including company pension scheme, generous holidays, cycle to work scheme, employee benefits include, online discount platform, onsite parking and much more.Our people are at the core of our business and what makes Wincanton great.
