What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Process end-to-end payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
Oversee administration of garnishments, court ordered withholding orders, and voluntary deductions
Manage nonresident alien taxation requirements
Support business process strategies for efficient payroll processes
Generate comprehensive payroll reports and conduct account reconciliations
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Associates degree in a business-related discipline required
FPC or CPP Certification preferred
5+ years of related work experience, including a minimum of 3 years in multi-state payroll
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in using payroll software such as Workday Payroll and ADP Smart Compliance
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Knowledge of California payroll laws and regulations
Experience in the non-profit industry
Ability to manage payroll function in a fast-paced environment
Advanced computer skills, including Excel
Strong communication and organizational skills
