About the position
The Patient Scheduler II position at Essentia Health involves pre-registering and scheduling patients for various healthcare services in a professional and courteous manner. Responsibilities
• Pre-registers and schedules patients for appointments, procedures, tests, and other services.

• Handles incoming calls and manages follow-up and referral work queues.

• Completes patient checkout and schedules follow-up appointments as per physician's orders.

• Provides patients with cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming appointments.

• Coordinates scheduling of services for patients, including ancillary and procedure scheduling.
,
• Enters data accurately into the electronic health record while communicating with patients.
,
• Supports Population Management and Chronic Disease Management initiatives through patient registry and outbound calling.
,
• Performs other clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements
• 1 year of clinical healthcare experience or experience as a Patient Scheduler I.
,
• Completion of Healthcare Business Insight's Patient Access Certification Program within six months of hire date.
