Patient Intervention Clinician
The Patient Intervention Clinician reviews ventilator candidate's medical information submitted by local centers via a computerized system. Based on established clinical coverage criteria by payers and company protocol approves ventilator candidates for admission to the company's ventilator program. β’ Answer questions and provides local center education regarding the organization's ventilator program. β’ Assesses customer need for additional products/services when applicable. β’ Documents activities in computerized record keeping system. β’ Relays information reviewed back to patient's local center and documents this correspondence in a computerized record keeping system β’ Verifies and updates demographic information such as address and telephone number in computerized records if applicable. β’ Performs other duties as assigned. β’ Complies with all policies and standards. β’ 11 am EST - 8 pm EST shift Requirements: β’ Must have excellent human relations skills to interface with patients, doctors, and employees to provide advice and direction β’ Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos β’ Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization β’ Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals β’ Compute rate, ratio, and percent, as well as to draw and interpret bar graphs β’ Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form β’ Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Education and Experience: β’ High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience β’ Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a CRT or RTT and licensed to practice respiratory therapy Required Apply tot his job
