Pathology Medical Transcriptionist/Secretary

Key Accountabilities / Competencies:
· Experienced transcriptionist demonstrating accurate typing skills, experience with foot pedal and straight-typing of the medical record with exceptional medical terminology knowledge. If you have Pathology experience, this a plus and would include transcribing Gross, Microscopic and Diagnostic fields (with heavy use of macros).
· Preparation of final pathology report for distribution via courier within the practice and via e-mail to our satellite offices.
· Prepare send out cases for consultation or ancillary studies with the assistance of other laboratory personnel.
· Work as part of a dynamic team.
· Communicate well with lab personnel, the Dermatopathologist’s and the Dermatology staff demonstrating professional and courteous phone etiquette.
· Excellent customer service skills while assisting various offices within the practice via telephone and e-mail, maintaining a harmonious relationship with all laboratory personnel and dermatology staff.
· Some pathology billing utilizing minimal pathology specific codes.
· Effective time-management skills, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Open to remote local work..might have to come into office periodically.
