Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired - VocoVision
VocoVision is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to work part-time with a Georgia school district.
As a Remote TVI, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with visual impairments in the district. You will work remotely from your home office, using our platform to connect with students and provide specialized instruction and support. Your responsibilities will include:
 Conducting virtual assessments to determine students' educational needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
 Collaborating with students, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure a personalized and inclusive learning experience
 Delivering remote instruction in accordance with students' IEP goals and objectives
 Utilizing appropriate assistive technology tools and resources to enhance learning and accessibility
 Providing ongoing support, feedback, and guidance to students and their families
 Monitoring students' progress and adjusting instruction as needed
 Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and communication
Qualifications:
 Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
 Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in the state of Georgia
 Experience working with students with visual impairments and knowledge of best practices in visual impairment education
 Familiarity with assistive technology tools and resources for students with visual impairments
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage students and collaborate with parents and educational professionalsReliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup
