About the Role: Human Resources Manager As a Human Resources Manager at American Express, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our company culture, managing talent acquisition, and ensuring the development and engagement of our employees. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs, manage the recruitment process, and ensure the selection of top talent that aligns with our company's values and objectives. Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management, providing guidance on HR policies, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment. Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development plans. Employee Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction. Training and Development: Identify training needs and work with Learning and Development teams to create programs that foster skill development and career advancement. Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring an inclusive workplace that values and respects all perspectives. HR Compliance: Stay current with employment laws and regulations, ensuring company-wide compliance. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in progressively responsible HR positions, with a proven track record as an HR Manager or similar senior HR role. Strong knowledge of employment legislation and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees and management. Strategic thinking with the ability to solve complex HR-related issues. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Demonstrated success in talent acquisition and retention. Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, having the following qualifications can be a plus: Experience working in a global or multinational organization. Certifications in HR, such as SHRM-CP or HRCI. Knowledge of industry-specific HR trends and best practices.
