About the Role As a Part Time Security Officer at Home Depot, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our Atlanta operations, including our SSC complex and Home Terminal partners. Key Responsibilities Monitor the SSC complex and investigate unusual events, ensuring the safety and security of our employees, partners, and assets. Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, interviewing victims and witnesses as necessary, and reporting findings to management. Respond to crisis situations of various types, providing support and assistance as needed. Perform security patrols, reporting any issues or concerns to the relevant authorities and personnel. Operate the Security Control Room, monitoring security cameras and responding to incidents in real-time. Screen security checkpoints at SSC and other facilities as directed, ensuring the secure movement of people and goods. Escort partners and visitors to parking facilities as required, providing a safe and secure environment. Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, demonstrating a strong foundation in a relevant field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, partners, and external stakeholders. A strong understanding of security principles and practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative mindset. A commitment to safety and security, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential risks. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded: Previous experience in a security role, preferably in a retail or corporate environment. Knowledge of security protocols and procedures, including CCTV operation and access control systems. Certifications or training in security-related fields, such as first aid, CPR, or crisis management. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
