About the Role PeopleShare is seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient OS Systems Programmer to provide hybrid or remote support for our client, Ricoh Americas Corporation, based in Boulder, CO. In this role, you’ll maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot IBM z/OS mainframe systems, support users, and contribute to technical projects while ensuring system reliability and performance. Remote - OS Systems Programmer Job Details: Location: Boulder, CO 80301 (Hybrid; Remote – U.S. only) Pay: $44.90 - $61.90/hr Schedule: Monday – Friday | Business Hours | Part-time (~24 hours/week) Benefits: Weekly Pay, Medical Benefits, 401k, etc. Remote - OS Systems Programmer Key Responsibilities • Maintain, upgrade, and support IBM z/OS operating systems independently • Perform advanced system programming tasks, including RACF administration and IBM software installations • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues • Educate and assist team members and users on z/OS capabilities and best practices • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows, including occasional off-hours or weekend work • Support special projects and system upgrades as assigned • Collaborate with a small team of senior technical professionals while working independently Remote - OS Systems Programmer Qualifications • Minimum 5–7 years of direct z/OS systems programming experience (not application development) • Expert knowledge of: Catalog management, ISPF/SDSF, z/FS, Unix System Services, JES2/JES3, SYS1.PARMLIB, SYS1.PROCLIB, RACF, IBM software installation, DFSMS, System Logger, XCF, DASD architecture, FICON/ESCON, and cryptographic coprocessors • Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of z/OS tasks • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Experience with VTAM, TCP/IP, Linux on z Systems, DS8000, FlashCopy, or zCX is a plus This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled systems professional who enjoys independent, challenging work, takes pride in maintaining critical mainframe systems, and wants to contribute to high-impact technical projects in a flexible hybrid or remote environment!
