Part Time Remote CPA
Deeter Investments, a small family office based in Austin, is seeking an experienced Part-Time CPA to join our team and support our accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA looking for flexible, meaningful work with a close-knit organization.
You'll take on bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger management, reconciliations, and ad hoc accounting tasks—work that was previously handled internally. You'll partner directly with our management team to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and maintain strong accounting practices.

Position Structure:
• Remote with 2- 3 in-office meeting per month to review accounting with leadership
• 5–20 hours per week
• Hourly compensation: $50–$80/hour based on experience and expertise
Key Responsibilities
• Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records, process journal entries, and manage day-to-day accounting transactions
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, track receivables, and follow up on outstanding accounts
• General Ledger: Manage chart of accounts, ensure proper account coding, and maintain ledger integrity
• Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and identify/resolve discrepancies
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Support additional accounting needs as they arise, including financial analysis and reporting support
• Collaboration: Work closely with management to review accounting status and address questions or concerns
Required Qualifications
• CPA License (active and in good standing)
• 2–3 years of accounting experience (bookkeeping, accounting operations, or similar)
• QuickBooks Online proficiency
• Google Workspace expertise (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable and self-directed in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in private lending or small family office operations
• Familiarity with property management accounting
• Knowledge of real estate accounting practices
Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
