Position: Part-time 100% Remote Corporate Actions Analyst (W-2551)
Location: Part-time 100% Remote Contract Position | Riverwoods, IL
NOTE: W2 Candidates Only!
Ā Hourly contractor with reporting provided restrictions regarding chargeable hours per week, estimated not to exceed 20 hours per week.
Ā 100% remote, EST/CST only-20 hours per week--must be able to work morning hours, but flexible on the start time, also need some flexibility Monday-Friday as they will be covering for PTO/Vacation which can happen any day of the week.
Myticas's direct client, based in Riverwoods, IL, is seeking a Corporate Actions Analyst for a Part-time 100% Remote contract position.
Job Responsibilities:
Ā Support various tax and regulatory products related to a variety of U.S. federal income tax rules, including but not limited to IRC Secs. 302, 305, 871(m) and 1446, particularly those resulting in U.S. federal income tax withholding on outbound payments related to particular financial instruments.
Ā Monitor, analyze and report on tax, securities and other related regulatory issues.
Ā Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in the relevant tax laws for these products.
Ā Analyze and summarize corporate filings and tax opinions.
Ā Conduct daily research on corporate action events covered by each product and track events until completion.
Ā Provide professional, knowledgeable and courteous contact with clients such as large financial institutions, banks, and brokerage houses.
Ā Meet daily production deadlines for the supported withholding products.
Ā Providing updates and guidance to other internal business stakeholders as appropriate.
Ā Communicating effectively with Investment Compliance business unit team colleagues.
Other Duties:
Ā Participating on special projects with subject matter experts or product management colleagues as requested.
Ā Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Ā Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Finance or Accounting;
Tax experience required.
Ā Ability to work independently, but with strong cross-functional team building skills.
Ā Strong research and analytical skills with excellent comprehension, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to produce publishable work product.
Ā Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ā Ability to work well in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment.
Ā Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment, be insightful, flexible, and creative.
Ā JD, CPA, and/or LLM in Taxation preferred.
