About the position

Madison College is seeking a part-time Grant Financial Analyst to manage and maintain financial records, payments, and reporting related to a multi-million-dollar Economic Development Administration grant. This role requires a solid understanding of budgeting and accounting principles, as well as federal grant regulations. The analyst will provide technical assistance to ensure compliance with funder regulations and serve as the main contact for verifying expenditure allowability.

Responsibilities
• Monitor expenditures and maintain financial records related to the grant.

• Establish a calendar of activities and reporting deadlines to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
,
• Provide monthly financial data to Principal Investigators (PIs) and subawardees.
,
• Create ad hoc budget scenarios to evaluate return on investment and project sustainability.
,
• Facilitate budget revisions in collaboration with PIs and budget managers.
,
• Assist in identifying and troubleshooting internal processes affecting budget accuracy.
,
• Process payments and deposits in Workday, working closely with Grant Accounting.
,
• Support communication and processes between various departments involved in grant management.
,
• Facilitate subaward budget revisions to align with project deliverables.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree and three years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree and five years of relevant experience.

• Solid understanding of budgeting and accounting principles.

• Knowledge of federal grant budgeting regulations and compliance requirements.
,
• Ability to quickly learn college systems and procedures.
