We're currently seeking experienced, part-time background investigators to support our clients virtually across the U.S. Who We're Looking For Retired sworn law enforcement officers Experience conducting background investigations in public safety Hold an unarmed private investigator license in the State of California (Proof Required) Completion of the California POST Background School (Proof Required) Key Responsibilities • Conduct virtual background investigations for candidates in roles such as Police Officer, Firefighter, 911 Dispatcher, and Corrections Officer • Interview candidates and references, perform document reviews, and complete home/family checks • Submit detailed, timely, and professional reports in line with agency expectations • Collaborate with NTN’s operations team and Senior Field Consultants Skills & Experience Desired • Prior role as Patrol Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Captain, Assistant Chief, or Chief • Knowledge of public safety background investigation processes • Strong communication, interviewing, and documentation skills • Tech-savvy: comfortable with Zoom and virtual collaboration tools • Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines • Adaptable and professional in remote environments Apply Today Interested?
