About the position
The Part-Time Backroom Coordinator at TJ Maxx is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring efficient processing by Associates. This role focuses on creating a positive customer experience, maintaining store organization, and training team members. The Coordinator will also oversee the delivery of merchandise and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Ā Execute receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring efficient processing by Associates.

Ā Create a positive internal and external customer experience.

Ā Promote a culture of honesty and integrity; maintain confidentiality.
,
Ā Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor.
,
Ā Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
,
Ā Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
,
Ā Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor.
,
Ā Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritize as needed.
,
Ā Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary.
,
Ā Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
,
Ā Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
,
Ā Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
,
Ā Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provide progress updates.
,
Ā Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
,
Ā Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
,
Ā Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
,
Ā Promote credit and loyalty programs.
,
Ā Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
,
Ā Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
,
Ā Perform other duties as assigned.

Ā Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
