Overview Overnight Grocery Team Member (Stocker, Inventory, Receiving) - Part Time at Whole Foods Market. This role provides overnight support for assigned team to include receiving and preparing product and maintaining the floor, displays, and back stock in accordance with company standards. All team members provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and other Team Members. Responsibilities Check product to ensure it meets quality standards. Accurately sort and scan waste. Maintain production standards and stock shelves, bins, and food preparation areas. Keep back stock in good order; receive product from receiving location to sales floor or back stock spaces. Assist in receiving and sorting overnight deliveries for other teams. Ensure timely arrival to work, proper grooming, and attendance at trainings and meetings. Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs, and model professional communication; answer phones promptly and courteously. Maximize sales potential through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising. Follow procedures including hygiene, safety, and Weights & Measures; comply with health and sanitation standards. Maintain a clean and sanitary work and shopping environment; keep equipment in line with cleanliness and safety standards. Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and verify pricing and signage. Report safety hazards and violations immediately. Perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership. Qualifications and Skills Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department. Ability to visually inspect products for quality and freshness. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Ability to convey information clearly to team members, customers, and vendors. Ability to meet customer service expectations in all interactions. Ability to follow directions, manage time, and stay organized. Passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency. Experience No prior retail experience required. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift. Hand use: grasping, fine manipulation; pushing and pulling. Mandatory movements: bending, twisting, squatting, reaching. Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals. Work may involve temperatures from below freezing to hot environments. Work in wet and dry conditions; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery; may require ladders.
