Oracle Database Architect - POC & Sales Enablement
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Oracle Database Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience managing large-scale Oracle databases and at least 3 years of experience working with Oracle databases in cloud environments, specifically AWS or Azure IaaS. This position will play a key role in Proof of Concepts (POCs) for Tessell and will work directly with our Sales Team to help drive business and technical discussions with clients. As a Senior DBA, you will not only be responsible for overseeing the performance, availability, and scalability of complex Oracle database environments but also engage with prospective clients in POC activities. You will help design and implement Oracle database solutions tailored to the needs of clients, enabling our sales team to showcase the capabilities and value of our offerings
Key Responsibilities:
POC Leadership & Sales Support: Act as the technical lead for Proof of Concept (POC) engagements with prospective clients. Collaborate with the Sales Team to define POC objectives, design solutions, and present technical demonstrations of Oracle database capabilities.
Customer-Facing Role: Work closely with sales and clients to understand their business requirements, deliver expert-level Oracle database solutions, and advise clients on how best to leverage Oracle technologies to meet their goals.
Database Management: Oversee the administration, optimization, and maintenance of large-scale Oracle databases, ensuring high performance, availability, and disaster recovery capabilities.
Cloud Expertise: Manage Oracle databases deployed on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure IaaS. Assist clients with cloud migration, deployment, and performance tuning, leveraging cloud-native tools and services.
Performance Tuning & Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend strategies for tuning and optimizing Oracle database environments.
Technical Sales Support: Provide in-depth technical support to the sales team, including conducting client presentations, explaining the technical aspects of database solutions, and answering complex questions during the sales process.
Database Architecture Design: Work with clients to design and implement scalable, high-availability, and disaster recovery Oracle database solutions.
Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (sales, product, and engineering) to ensure seamless solution delivery and client satisfaction.
Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts for database monitoring, maintenance, and backup procedures using shell scripting, PL/SQL, or other relevant technologies.
Documentation & Reporting: Document POC outcomes, technical proposals, client interactions, and feedback to continuously improve sales processes and deliverables.
