Description Employer: Amazon.com Services LLC Position: Operations Engineer II Location: Greenville, South Carolina Multiple Positions Available Plan, design and implement complex high-volume direct-to-consumer fulfillment processes, systems and facilities for capacity expansion and continuous improvement of worldwide fulfillment infrastructure throughout the large-scale supply chain network that increases critical-to-quality (CTQ) business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance. Provide technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects using MS Excel, AutoCad and MS Project. Work with complex Material Handling Systems, packaging equipment and other processing gear to design safe and efficient fulfillment processes. Use Process Improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and/or Kaizen to analyze Fulfillment Center processes and equipment and recommend and implement improvements to safety procedures, work processes and labor standards. Lead and coordinate design efforts between internal teams and outside vendors to develop optimal solutions for the network, including equipment specification, material flow, process design, and site layout. Manage capital projects and create conceptual F.b/c: Minimum Job Requirements and/or Alternative Job Requirements drawings, equipment specifications and bid documentation to facilitate a competitive bid environment. Monitor and enforce project schedules and quality with vendors or subcontractors. Inspect facilities in accordance with corporate standards and procedures relating to material handling, processing and storage. Develop and manage budget and contract documents including Requests for Proposals, change order controls, purchase orders and invoicing. Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operator training, procedural compliance, maintenance and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment. Domestic travel up to 80% to perform role responsibilities may be required Basic Qualifications A Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Logistics, Computer Science, Business Administration/Management, Math or related discipline and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Logistics, Computer Science, Business Administration/Management, Math or related discipline followed by 5 years of progressively responsible postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience Must Include 2 years of experience in managing material handling or automation projects. 2 years of design and/or implementation experience with integrated automation solutions, such as material handling systems, highspeed packaging lines, or manufacturing lines. 2 years of experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.) 4. 2 years of Operations Management/Distribution Center experience. 2 years of experience with Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation/logistics and/or fulfillment/distribution centers. 2 years of experience in material handling, automation, or technical project management Preferred Qualifications All applicants must meet all the above listed requirements.
