Job Summary
We are looking for an Industry Professional with a Master's degree and expertise in Network Security to share their knowledge and experience as an Online Visiting Professor. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for facilitating student learning by delivering educational courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop and provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus.
Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials.
Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software.
Model effective oral and written communications that engage students and improve learning.
Set clear expectations for the course and ensure consistency and fairness in grading.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in a relevant field (Doctoral degree preferred).
18 graduate hours in the subject being taught for undergraduate teaching.
PhD or MS in Software Engineering, MSCS, or MS in Cyber Security.
Qualifying credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Administration.
Requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
Excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.
Pay and Benefits
Visiting Professor pay is based on degree, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. Pay may vary in most states from $1500-$2600 per 8-week session. DeVry University offers competitive wages and benefit options, including:
