Job Summary Progressive Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Part-Time Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial reporting tasks for our expanding portfolio of clients. This is a fully remote role ideally suited for individuals who enjoy working independently and have a solid foundation in accounting principles and digital finance tools. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly while supporting timely reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities • * Maintain accurate financial records and perform daily bookkeeping activities • * Record transactions in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms • * Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts regularly • * Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions • * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports • * Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis • * Ensure timely and accurate data entry and reporting • * Support payroll processes and coordinate with external auditors when needed • * Adhere to internal controls and help implement process improvements • Required Skills and Qualifications • * Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or pursuing one) • * Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, or similar platforms • * Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles • * Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy • * Excellent time management and organizational skills • * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • * Strong verbal and written communication skills • * Proficient in arenaflex Excel and arenaflex Sheets • Experience • * Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role (freelance or in-house) • * Freshers with strong academic knowledge and software skills may also be considered • Working Hours • * Flexible part-time schedule (15–25 hours per week) • * Choose your own hours within business availability (Mon–Fri) • * Occasional deadlines may require additional time commitment • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • * Familiarity with remote work collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and arenaflex Workspace • * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data • * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally • * Self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality work • * Willingness to learn new tools and keep up with changes in accounting regulations and technology • Benefits • * 100% remote work – no commute • * Flexible working hours to fit your lifestyle • * Competitive hourly compensation • * Performance bonuses and milestone incentives • * Access to learning and upskilling resources • * Opportunity to grow within a dynamic and digital-first organization • Why Join Progressive Technology?
