Learn more about Shipley What Youll Do: As a Nurse Navigator, youll coordinate care for patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgery from initial diagnosis through post-treatment follow-up. Your role bridges communication between patients, families, providers, and hospital departments, ensuring timely, efficient, and compassionate care across the continuum. You will also serve as a resource for staff education and act as a liaison for the surgical team. Key Responsibilities Include: • Guiding patients and families through complex care plans with clarity and compassion • Coordinating interdisciplinary communication and services to ensure continuity of care • Identifying educational needs and designing training content for clinical teams • Acting as a clinician, advocate, educator, and consultant to optimize outcomes and patient satisfaction Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing Required. Masters preferred. Registered Nurse License State of Florida Required Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Surgery experience Required Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows-based systems We are dedicated to providing a caring and compassionate environment for our patients and our staff.
