Position Overview:
VocoVision is seeking a Virtual Special Education Coordinator to manage the development and implementation of special education programs for students in a virtual setting. This role involves collaborating with teachers, families, and staff to create IEPs, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and provide professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Develop, review, and update IEPs for virtual students.
ā¢ Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and other laws.
ā¢ Facilitate communication between school staff, parents, and service providers.
ā¢ Track progress on IEP goals and prepare reports.
ā¢ Provide training and support to virtual educators.
ā¢ Advocate for students with disabilities to ensure access to necessary support.
Qualifications:
ā¢ Bachelors degree in Special Education (Masters preferred).
ā¢ New Hampshire Special Education certification.
ā¢ 3+ years of special education experience in New Hampshire (virtual experience a plus).
ā¢ Familiar with IDEA, 504 Plans, and virtual education tools.
ā¢ Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
ā¢ Experience with IEP software.
ā¢ Leadership or coordination experience.
ā¢ Knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
