North America Celebration & Lifestyle Brand Consultant (Part-time, Remote) - Contract to Hire
We are building Goodluck into North America’s go-to brand for life’s celebration moments — Thanksgiving dinners, baby showers, graduations, holiday gatherings, and every meaningful occasion in between.
We sell celebration tableware and party supplies on Amazon North America with $60M+ annual GMV, and we are now transitioning from an Amazon seller into a real DTC lifestyle brand. Our goal is for Goodluck to become the brand North American families reach for when a moment deserves to feel special.
We are looking for a part-time consultant — not an executor, not a social media manager — but someone who genuinely lives inside North American celebration culture, and can help us understand what consumers actually feel, want, and respond to.
What This Role Is
Think of yourself as our “North America Cultural Antenna.”
You will help us answer questions like:
∙ What celebration aesthetics are trending right now among North American families, millennials, and Gen Z hosts?
∙ Would this color palette feel right on a Thanksgiving table or a baby shower setup?
∙ Does this TikTok concept feel authentic or does it feel like a foreign brand trying too hard?
∙ Which micro-influencers in the hosting, tablescape, or celebration space have genuinely engaged audiences?
∙ What does a celebration tableware set need to look, feel, and communicate to justify a $45–$80 price point in the US market?
∙ What moments do North American consumers actually celebrate, and how do they set the table for them?
What We Are NOT Looking For
We are not looking for someone to run our social media accounts.
We are not looking for someone to write captions or schedule posts.
We are not looking for market research reports or PowerPoint decks.
We need real cultural intuition, not data. We need someone who has hosted or attended real North American celebrations, understands the TikTok and Pinterest ecosystem from the inside, and can give us honest, direct feedback on our products, visuals, and content direction.
You Are Probably a Good Fit If
∙ You live in the US or Canada and have an active social life with genuine local connections — not just an expat bubble
∙ You naturally follow hosting, tablescape, celebration, or home entertaining content on TikTok and Pinterest — not for work, just because it interests you
∙ You have experience in consumer brands, lifestyle content creation, retail buying, event planning, or brand marketing
∙ You understand what makes a celebration feel intentional and special to North American consumers
∙ You are comfortable giving blunt, direct feedback — “this color feels cheap,” “North American moms would never style a table this way,” or “this concept has been overdone” is exactly what we need
∙ Bonus: you have genuine relationships with influencers or creators in the hosting, home, or celebration lifestyle space
Engagement
Format: Monthly retainer, part-time consulting
Hours: Approximately 10–15 hours per month
Communication: WeChat or email, async-friendly
Language: English preferred, Mandarin a plus but not required
Rate: Open to discussion — please share your expected monthly rate in your proposal
