This position is responsible for analyzing client needs, recommending appropriate coverage solutions, managing renewals, and ensuring a high level of service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and retain book of business (large accounts)Serve as point of contact for client relationshipsProactively lead the renewal process in collaboration with clients, carriers, and vendorsAnalyze client business needs and recommend coverage solutionsAssist Employee Benefits Sales Producers with new business and carrier quotingCross-sell products across all lines of coverageMaintain accurate documentation in the Agency Management System (AMS)Assist the producers with account managementParticipate in renewal meetingsProvide timely and thorough resolution to account issuesWork additional hours during peak renewal seasons as neededQualifications & Skills5+ years of insurance industry experience and/or Employee Benefits experience preferredStrong presentation and communication skillsProfessional, client-facing presenceAbility to work independently and prioritize effectivelyStrong organizational and analytical abilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPointDetail-oriented and self-motivatedSolutions-focused mindset with strong customer service skillsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team membersHigh energy and appetite for growth and responsibilityRequirementsActive South Dakota Insurance Producer Health & Life licenseCompletion of required HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and carrier trainingCommitment to ongoing continuing educationKnowledge of underwriting principles and self-funded financial arrangements (or willingness to develop expertise)Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentBenefitsLeavitt Heartland Insurance offers the strength of a national brand with the heart of a local agency.
