All Jobs > Infrastructure Support Engineer NexGen Data Systems Apply Infrastructure Support Engineer Fully Remote • DHA Remote Apply Job Type Full-time Description NexGen Data Systems is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide essential support to the DHA enterprise by troubleshooting network issues and ensuring reliable system performance. The engineer engages with customers daily, delivering responsive assistance and maintaining a high level of service. Roles & Responsibilities: Troubleshooting network issues Working in a team setting and making recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation Resolving issues in a timely manner with a variety of different network devices, protocols, and reporting formats Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Requirements Desired/Required Skills: Active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance required. DoD Approved 8570 / 8140 OS and Cybersecurity certifications required. Cisco Certification (CCNA or CCNP) preferred. 6+ years’ relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred but not required. A strong knowledge base with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Virtual Private Network devices. A good understanding of TCP/IP in regard to routing and subnetting Must be a team player that can work under pressure with good written and oral communication skills Experience with the following Network protocols and services: Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP), Access Control Lists, Layer 2 Switching, Spanning Tree, and Packet Analysis. Experience with Cisco Switches and Palo Alto Firewalls required. A strong sense of urgency including self-governance on task priority. Must be willing to work shifts to cover a 24x7 operational environment.
