That's the Ciena network.Responsibilities This position is a technical role to lead the delivery of network solution, providing post-sales support for delivery, Solution Engineering services like Solution Design, Solution Acceptance, Remote Deployment support and Network Reconfiguration/Migration. Will interfaces with the following functional groups on a day-to-day basis; Systems Engineers (SE), Service Project Managers (SPM), Technical Support, Field Service Engineers and Customer Service Avocate. Basic theoretical and/or practical knowledge of L0/L1 optical/transmission and/or Layer2-3 (IP protocols) and/or scripting/DevOps skillsGeneral Activities Support service partners engineers during project deploymentReviews the Technical Deployment Package details with both Internal and External Resources to ensure that the are understood by all members of the Deployment TeamServes an escalation point for issues/problems related to the Technical Deployment Package contents. Works with the Pre-Sales, Customer, and Internal Ciena Groups to resolve any design or product related issues and translates resolutions to the fieldResponsible for archiving the As-Built Documentation Sets for future network upgrade supportCollaboration with stakeholdersParticipates on Customer kick-off calls and provides support to the Deployment Project Managers Provide technical guidance to the Presales Engineers to ensure that the Network Design meets both Customer and Serviceability requirementsAreas of impact (Basic theoretical and/or practical knowledge/expertise required)Layer 0/1 (ie, SDH, DWDM, ROADM, Control Plane, etc) Ciena or other vendor product knowledge, Layer 2-3 knowledge, and/orScripting/DevOps skills (ie, Phyton, JAVA, Ansible, etc)ExperienceB.S. Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field of disciplineMandatory not more than 5 years of experience Ability to work directly with various cross-functional groups to resolve issues and establish best practicesGood Customer Service interaction skillsExcellent English language written and verbal communications skillsExpert knowledge of MS Office applications (Visio, Excel, Power Point, etc.)Ability to handle travel (approx. 25%)Ability to work at night on maintenance windows (25%)Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to review and analyse project information quickly and accuratelyAbility to take a conceptual design and develop a process to make it a realityCommunications/technology focused career goalsNot ready to apply?
