Network Architect - Richmond, VA (Remote)
Job Title: Network Architect 4
Location: Richmond, VA 23219 Remote
Duration: 6+ months with possible extension
This role is mostly full time remote work with quarterly in-person meetings with leaders.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Document comprehensive network designs that integrate multiple network technologies, such as LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and VPNs to support the organizations business operations and communication needs.
ā¢ Design and document the entire network implementation process
ā¢ Monitoring network performance and taking follow-up steps to resolve latency issues and security concerns
ā¢ Performing regular network upgrades to create greater efficiency
ā¢ Creating documentation throughout the design and deployment process for future reference
ā¢ Develop patterns and standards for all network designs
ā¢ The ability to analyze data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades.
ā¢ Work with our IT staff and thirds-party equipment and software vendors to ensure the network needs are met.
ā¢ Research new technologies and solutions, and asses new technologies for adoption
ā¢ Define multisite network operations and software applications.
ā¢ Train, mentor, and transfer skills to the extended team.
ā¢ Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains and networking layers.
ā¢ Aligns architecture strategy with business goals.
ā¢ Defines, explains, and advocates technology strategy.
