Watertown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Non-Clinical Education Specialist
Full Time / 40 Hours Per Week
The Non-Clinical Education Specialist works under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, and provides a variety of educational and staff development services including coordinating and facilitating the new associate and manager orientation programs as well as other education programs. This position serves as an organizational resource to all associates, providers, volunteers, patients and community members.
This position is the primary system administrator, instructional designer, content developer and trainer for the associate Life Talent Center (LTC). This position coordinates, provides and teaches on medical library services, evidence based researching, clinical resources/ databases and audio/ visual resources.
This highly visible position provides guidance and staff development coordination throughout the organization as requested to meet the staff development needs of all organizational departments. This position will serve as an organizational Crucial Conversations trainer.
This position is a member of the Environment of Care Oversight Team and administers, coordinates, facilitates or assists with multiple team functions, activities and resources including: EOC Management Plans, MSDS Online, Incident Command, Emergency Preparedness, Send Word Now, Hazmat Training, This position participates in quality improvement events/ projects, committees and teams as assigned by the Sr, Exec of Human Resources.

Bachelor's degree required.
Three years experience working in a health care environment.
Experience preparing and making presentations to large groups.
Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of adult learning skills
Understands JC, OSHA, state regulations and nursing standards in relation to education and competency requirements
Knowledgeable of basic quality improvement concepts and is able to assist with the application of quality improvement tools.
