This writing-intensive course covers the fundamental requirements of effective communication skills such as report writing, interpersonal communication and interviewing and questioning.
Other Courses May Include: Introduction to Law Enforcement, Policing, Criminal Procedure in Law Enforcement, Ethics in Leadership, and Law Enforcement Capstone
What You Will Do:
Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
Respond to students? questions and emails within the established timeframes
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
What You Will Bring:
*Professional or Teaching experience is required.
PhD in Justice Studies OR
Criminal Justice
Linguistics
AND 3-years experience as a peace officer
Master's in Justice Studies OR
Criminal Justice
AND coursework in Communications
Exceptions may be granted to individuals with Master's in any field with 18 graduate credits in Justice Studies or Criminal Justice AND has 3-years experience as a peace officer
