Job description: The Newman Plus Coordinator works with the team responsible for providing high quality after school and
summer programs to Newman families and the wider community. This individual works with colleagues across
the School to produce robust extracurricular learning opportunities for early childhood through twelfth grade
students and generate additional net revenue for the School.
The Newman Plus Coordinator is organized, efficient, flexible, and has excellent interpersonal skills. This person
thinks critically to plan, synchronize, and execute complex undertakings in a dynamic school community. Most
importantly, this person should be a self-driven individual with a growth mindset and an overall positive role
model for young children and staff. This position reports to the Director of Newman Plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
After School Program Leadership
Develop and nurture strong relationships with students and staff
Provide support throughout programs to students and staff as needed
Monitor staff assignments and rearrange support staff as needed
Liaise with the Health Center/director/parents regarding student injuries / illness or behavioral concerns
Safely and efficiently facilitate the end of day student dismissal
Coordination
Develop and nurture strong relationships with families through diligent customer service
Assist the Director with planning programming and logistics for all auxiliary programs including but not limited to afterschool, summer camps, childcare, and tutoring
Produce all aspects of the online registration: design, build, launch, and maintenance
Assist the Director of Newman Plus with staff recruitment and onboarding
Maintain accurate databases and operational information for Newman Plus programs via Campbrain, Microsoft 360, and Google Suite platforms
Collaborate with the Business Office on financial reconciliation between CampBrain and financial platforms
Support director with scheduling and staff assignments
Participate in school planning meetings and make necessary adjustments to operational programming
Check-in and communicate regularly with instructors and administrators regarding student and staff updates, changes and concerns
Update and maintain content on all online platforms: web and social media Operational
Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the after school and childcare including but not limited to attendance, supervising staff and students, coordinating schedules, leading daily preparations, assessing programming, and facilities booking
Provide operational support for all summer programs as determined by the Director
Liaise and collaborate with other divisions and departments to make effective use of facilities and
resources
Maintain organization in the functionality of the Newman Plus Office as an efficient working space for the team
Newman Plus
Monitor supply requests and inventory, prepare supply orders for approval
Support Newman Plus Director and Store Manager as needed with store and concessions operations.
End of day reset - ensure all facilities are reset, and equipment is returned and stored appropriately.

Demonstrate adaptability to respond to shifting priorities both to manage emerging situations and take advantage of new opportunities
The ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Duties will require motions including climbing stairs, walking, squatting, and kneeling
Always adhere to the policies and procedures of Isidore Newman School.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Full Time (12 months)
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. including a half hour lunch break during the school year with
adjusted hours during the summer season from 7:15 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Variations in hours for occasional specials events.
Overtime must be approved in advance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (preferred)
2 years childcare experience (required)
1 year supervisory experience (preferred)
