Your Opportunity as National Account Manager, eCommerce-Chewy (Pet-US Retail Sales) The National Account Manager (NAM), eCommerce is responsible for achieving sales objectives consistent with corporate volume and profit targets. Job responsibilities include planning and executing against volume, distribution, pricing, digital shelf, trade spending and online content objectives. The NAM eCommerce has direct customer responsibilities, and is accountable for building trusted customer relationships, ensuring appropriate resources are available and that communication channels are open to guarantee successful execution of programs across eCommerce accounts. The NAM, eCommerce is responsible for managing the online presence and brand integrity with content and pricing, pursuing new distribution and identifying new revenue growth opportunities within all supported customers. Work Location/Arrangements: Working Remotely in the United States and reside near major airport. Preference to the following locations: Boston, MA; Seattle, WA; Plantation, FL. In this role your primary responsibilities will include: Customer Management & Business Development • Penetrate named accounts to develop Smucker franchise by focusing on adding value and facilitating the execution of strategic initiatives • Strengthens relationship with Customer teams by building interpersonal rapport, maintaining regular contact, and leading all sales calls • Develop & execute national account plans to achieve volume objectives and key sales priorities (distribution, pricing, and merchandising) • Negotiate and manage trade spending to ensure Smucker funds are effectively utilized in a fair and equitable manner to achieve optimal performance objectives • Analyze and understand key business trends and sell-in recommendations to address issues and growth objectives in a timely manner • Identifies and negotiates for new distribution, merchandising programs, alpha/beta test participation, and other Preferred Vendor opportunities • Serve as administrator on all customer-specific portals, and responsible for communicating all product, pricing, commercial terms, policy and allowance changes to customer Financial Performance • Regularly track eCommerce sales performance, and represent eCommerce within monthly/quarterly business reviews, and annual sales planning process • Perform in-depth analysis of sales and profit components, including merchandising, promotional and supply chain opportunities • Partners with customer to develop accurate consumption and shipments forecasts, and ensures that Smucker systems are regularly updated to support internal MBRs, SVP forecasting and promotion analysis • Manages and deploys merchandising and promotional investments to optimize sales impact, while operating within budgeted spend guidelines Execution and Alignment • Work closely with eCommerce Marketing, Category Leadership, Customer Commercialization, Customer Logistics and Demand Planning to regularly analyze performance, optimize plans, create alignment and identify new opportunities to achieve sales, growth and brand objectives. • Responsible for managing online presence, brand integrity and quality of the digital shelf across all customer platforms. • Monitor and report on competitive eCommerce activity. • Maintain outlook on industry best practices and seeks to embed through a continuous improvement mindset. What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree • 5+ years’ experience in eCommerce, Digital Marketing and/or Consumer-Packaged Sales • Headquarter retail account experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry interfacing with key buyers/category managers and key account leaders. • 2+ years of experience with budget planning/management • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships both internally and externally • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities • Proficiency in MS Office software including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Willingness to meet travel expectations of a minimum 20% (as business needs require) Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role: • Experience managing accounts in the Pet Industry • Chewy Customer Portal and VDS experience • Prior experience utilizing and interpreting syndicated POS sales data (Nielsen, Circana, Profitero, etc.) • Prior Brand and/or Shopper Marketing experience • Demonstrated passion and insatiable curiosity for Digital Commerce • Formal Sales or Negotiation training • Proficiency using Trade Planning Management systems Learn more about working at Smucker: • Helping our Employees Thrive • Delivering on Our Purpose • Our Continued Commitment to Ensuring a Workplace for All Follow us on LinkedIn® #LI-MR1 Apply tot his job
