Mortgage Loan Coordinator

We are looking to add a Mortgage Loan Coordinator to our Loan Operations team!

Under the Director of Loan Operations, this individual will coordinate and facilitate mortgage lending between lending officers, clients, and loan operations staff in a client-centric manner. This position will accept completed applications, produce early disclosures, complete re-disclosures, coordinate setup duties such as titles, appraisals and flood certifications, gather and validate supporting documentation, submit loans to underwriting, schedule closing dates, prepare closing documents, arrange funding for closings, transmit post-closing information to investors, and process adverse actions. Using strong organizational and communication skills, this position will ensure all parties are aware of the status of the loan, any issues related to the loan, and any decision making that may be required on the loan. This individual will also be responsible for assisting with pre-closing all mortgage loan files. This will include reviewing the closing disclosure for accuracy and ensuring timely delivery to the clients to ensure a timely closing. This position will review all loan closing documents and remedy any issues found during the pre-close process to ensure lenders have closing documents prior to loan

Responsibilities
• Work with loan closer to review mortgage closing disclosures for accuracy. Deliver to the customers/lenders within required delivery timeframes to ensure an on time closing.
• Initial closing disclosure will be delivered before 3pm each day, unless there is a delay from a third party.
• Verify all loan closing documents to ensure accuracy and notify loan closer to print documents at least 24 hours prior to loan closing. Handle any pre-closing issues that are discovered on the loan file and ensure adequate documentation is placed within the loan file to remedy the issue.
• Individual will communicate with Loan Compliance Specialist and Director of Loan Operations any tolerance or compliance violations that are discovered during pre-closing review.
• Assign applications received from our online application platform to respective loan officers.
• Receive completed mortgage loan applications from lending staff, working with lenders to ensure the applications are handled timely, and in compliance with regulations. Maintain and ensure the accuracy of information within the loan file.
• Serve as backup or support for the Loan Closer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent education/training in the field of residential mortgage lending.
• Preferred 2-3 years of mortgage processing/lending experience, with demonstrated ability to remain calm and efficient.
• Excellent communication skills evidenced by 1) an ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and concise manner, 2) a positive and approachable demeanor, 3) a mature and professional style that promotes respect and understanding, 4) a demonstrated willingness to interact proactively and positively with clients and staff.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to make complex decisions with little supervisory review.
• Must interact effectively within a team environment and must accept guidance or instruction in a positive manner. Must give guidance or instruction to others in a positive manner.
• Solid working knowledge of computer systems including loan processing software used to track and maintain loan information.
