KeyBank is a financial services company, and they are seeking a Mortgage Loan Closer to prepare and review closing documents for timely and accurate loan closings. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with guidelines and delivering excellent customer service.ResponsibilitiesReview loan files to confirm all conditions are met and the file is ready for closingVerify title commitments, insurance policies, sales contracts, and other documentation for accuracy and complianceInput and validate loan data in the loan origination system to generate closing documentsCoordinate with Settlement Agents to obtain and review Closing Disclosures or HUD-1 statementsEnsure closing packages are complete, accurate, and meet agency/investor requirementsCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and ensure smooth closingsConfirm all pre-closing requirements are satisfied before authorizing the disbursement of fundsMaintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory standardsMonitor and manage assigned pipeline to meet closing deadlinesSupport post-closing processes by ensuring documentation is properly executed and submittedPerforms other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without noticeComplies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and KeySkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience1+ years of experience in mortgage loan closing or a related mortgage operations roleUnderstanding of the mortgage lifecycle from application to fundingBasic knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan programsFamiliarity with RESPA, TRID, and other applicable lending regulationsAccuracy in reviewing documents and entering dataAbility to manage multiple files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and a customer-first mindsetExperience with loan origination systemsProficient with Microsoft Office toolsWorks well with others and contributes to a positive team environmentComfortable with change and able to adjust to shifting prioritiesHigh level of trustworthiness, accountability, and a selfless, team-oriented attitudeAbility to maintain confidentiality in dealing with highly sensitive client informationCompany OverviewAt KeyBank we’ve made a promise to our clients that they will always have a champion in us.
