Middle School ELA Teacher - Remote | WFH

We are currently seeking a Middle School ELA Teacher who is a highly qualified, state-certified educator committed to delivering engaging course content within an online setting. The Middle School ELA Teacher will play a pivotal role in providing instruction, support, and guidance, while also managing the learning process to cater to each student's individual needs.
Responsibilities
Take ownership of students' academic progress and attendance, fostering high expectations and actively supporting students' achievements.
Prepare students for standardized tests by delivering comprehensive instruction.
Conduct live synchronous teaching sessions for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Provide asynchronous support, including composing emails, planning course objectives, and utilizing data to address student needs.
Collaborate with local, regional, and national teams and teacher trainers to enhance instruction and resources.
Remain open to coaching and feedback from administrators and teacher trainers.
Augment course content as necessary, following prescribed policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of grades and student work to ensure academic integrity.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and learning coaches/parents.
Support students and learning coaches/parents with technical setup and troubleshooting.
Organize social and educational activities for students and families, including virtual clubs and outings.
Travel occasionally to testing sites to proctor state exams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
South Carolina state Middle School English/Language Arts teaching certification.
Six (6) Months Of Student Teaching Experience Preferred.
Ability to pass required background checks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Access to reliable high-speed internet.
Experience working with diverse age groups and supporting individuals in the use of technology.
Previous experience teaching in an online or traditional classroom setting is advantageous.
