Merchandise Representative

JOB TITLE: MERCHANDISE REPRESENTATIVE LOCATION: Remote REPORTS TO: Merchandise Manager JOB TYPE: 1099 Independent Contractor SUPERVISORY DEMANDS: There are no direct reports for this position Job Summary: The Merchandising Representative is responsible for supporting merchandise sales and brand presentation at World Racing Group events and related activities. This role focuses on delivering a positive fan experience, maintaining professional merchandise displays, accurately processing transactions, and supporting inventory management while representing World Racing Group in a professional manner at all times. Essential Job Functions: • Set up, operate, and break down merchandise displays at racing events and promotional appearances • Sell World Racing Group and affiliated series merchandise in a fast-paced, fan-focused environment • Ensure merchandise displays are visually appealing, well-stocked, and aligned with brand standards • Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems • Track inventory levels, restock products, and report sales and inventory data as required • Engage with fans in a professional and enthusiastic manner to enhance the overall event experience • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting merchandise and equipment • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure sales area • Collaborate with event staff, series officials, and fellow merchandising team members • Travel extensively to racetracks and event venues, including weekends and holidays Required Qualifications and Skills: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or customer service preferred • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work long hours in outdoor and high-energy event environments • Comfortable handling cash and electronic payments accurately • Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise and display equipment (up to 50 lbs.) • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of motorsports or passion for racing • Experience with mobile POS systems • Sales-driven mindset with the ability to upsell merchandise Work Environment: • Fast-paced, event-driven atmosphere • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions • Nights, weekends, and holidays required based on race schedules Apply tot his job
