Membership Accounting Representative – Group Enrollment
Job Description:
• Allocate payments, reconcile and audit assigned individual and employer group accounts
• Allocates routine employer group payments and reviews unapplied cash report for guidance
• Applies payments, reviews unapplied cash, research basic billing or membership discrepancies, and respond to rate and billing inquiries
• Assists senior staff with exceptions and account issues
• Works with Eligibility Representatives to maintain accurate and timely membership and financial records
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• One-year accounting experience within HMO/Health Care industry preferred, or one-year relevant experience.
• Strong payment application and account reconciliation
• Ability to research and resolve basic billing or membership issues
• Proficiency in Excel and billing systems
• Clear communication and reliable follow ‑ through on inquiries
• Able to work within SLAs and follow established processes
• Experience supporting audits and maintaining documentation
